Master of Ceremonies

High School gentlemen who have already served as altar servers in junior high are eligible to serve as Master of Ceremonies for Mass on weekends and solemnities. They are responsible for overseeing the altar servers before, during and after Mass. He also sets up the altar at Offertory, and clears the altar after Holy Communion. Training is required to serve as an MC.
Commitment: Typically one weekend Mass per month. The individual chooses which of the three weekend Masses to be scheduled for.

Skilled musician to accompany at celebration of Mass.


An accomplished musician to accompany the choir or organist or pianist.


Accomplished vocalist to assist the celebration of the Mass by leading the parts of the liturgy that are sung.

Teen Choir Member

Description: Join other young adults in lending their voices to enhance the liturgical ceremonies and Masses throughout the year as scheduled.

Commitment: Rehearsals Wednesday evenings at 9:30 pm and Mass once a month.

Lector for Sunday Mass

Proclaim the Word of God during the Sunday Masses as scheduled.

Visit the Sick/Elderly/Homebound

Greet worshipers as they arrive for Mass, assist them to their seats when needed, be alert to their needs, and gather the offertory collection at Mass. Be at the church entrance 20 minutes before Mass on special occasions to greet and welcome parishioners and guests.

Attend a TEC Retreat

Attend Teens Encounter Christ retreat at designated locations.

Babysit for Church Events

Assist parents of younger children by babysitting while the parents attend church functions or meetings.

Parish Clean-Up

Participate in the bi-annual clean-up day of the parish grounds and buildings.

PSR Teacher Assistant:

Assist the PSR teachers in the classrooms.

Adoration Chapel

Through Eucharistic Adoration in our chapel, parishioners pray before Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
Commitment: One hour per week, from Monday at Noon to Tuesday at 10:00 p.m.

Events Volunteer

Volunteer to assist with parish events, including St. Mark’s Day, Oktoberfest, and other events as needed.

Visit the Sick/Elderly/Homebound

Visit sick, elderly or homebound parishioners who are confined to their homes or care centers.

The Lord’s Diner Volunteer

Assist St. Mark’s parishioners one day every other month to serve a meal to the homeless. Must be at least 12 years old. A current Food Handlers Permit is required.

CYO Community, Social & Sports Events

Create a community of friendship and fun. Involves direct ministry with youth, for example: sports activities, lock-ins, trips. Develop, promote, implement, and evaluate programs in this area.

CYO Prayer & Worship

Celebrate and deepen our relationship to Jesus Christ. Involves direct ministry with youth, for example: Youth Mass, Living Stations of the Cross, Youth Choir. Develop, promote, implement, and evaluate programs in this area.

CYO Service Projects

Explore justice issues and offer hands-on experiences. Involves direct ministry with youth, for example: March for Life, Valentine dinner, elderly visits. Develop, promote, implement, and evaluate programs in this area.

CYO Catechesis

Assist with catechetical efforts to assist the youth to learn more about Jesus and His Catholic faith. Develop, promote, implement, and evaluate programs in this area.
